DATA VISUALIZATION WITH APIs - Using data related to user's content consumption or their behavior

1.  Develop the last week assignment : visualize the sharing activity of New York Times content over social networks. Accessing a constantly updated database of sharing events, the system constructs sharing structures in near-real time. 

Cascade allows for precise analysis of the structures which underly sharing activity on the web. This first-of-its-kind tool links browsing behavior on a site to sharing activity to construct a detailed picture of how information propagates through the social media space.

Furthermore, What I'm interested in is that draw some conclusions regarding the intimate relationship between consumption and social networking. 


2. Using Google play (Android) App Rankings API : Another thins that I'd like to use is Top Android App Rankings API which returns a list of popular or trending Android applications in a particular category or country. By using this, I can retrieve data that perform well or are getting traction lately in a specific category or country.

 

3. Other references

(1) Womens' health connections : Visualized the health records of seven million patients in the US, seeking connections and clusters between diseases. They mapped the data on to an interactive graphic connecting 160 diseases. 

 

(2) The Connected States of America : Illustrates the emerging communities based on the social interactions defined by the anonymous cellphone usage data on AT&T's network.
